// illustrative: what a commission looks like
This is a worked example, not a client engagement. There is no client behind it and no invented numbers: just the shape of a commission I take on, written out so you can see how I run one before you bring me yours.
The problem
An operations team is losing days to a research or reporting workflow that a machine should be doing. They don’t need a platform overhaul or an “AI transformation”; they need AI applied to one specific bottleneck, inside the tools they already run.
What gets delivered
A targeted integration, not a rebuild. I scope the work to a single measurable workflow, build the smallest system that removes the manual step, and put it in front of the people who actually do the job. Guardrails come standard: approval gating where a human should stay in the loop, audit logs so every automated step is traceable. The method is the one behind everything I ship: build once, prove cheaply, graduate what works.
Receipts
An illustrative page doesn’t get to invent numbers, so here is what I measure on a real engagement instead:
- Cycle time: the workflow’s wall-clock time before and after. The target shape is days to minutes.
- Hours returned: manual hours per week the team gets back.
- Adoption: whether the team is still using it a month later. If they aren’t, it didn’t work.
The track record behind the pattern is real: I advise teams like Levels AV on AI integration and innovation, run funding research and go-to-market for Abu Dhabi, UAE, and international programmes (Fortune 500 clients and small teams alike), and the tooling is public across 165+ repos on GitHub (RandomSynergy17).
Outcome
On a real commission this section carries the measured result and, when the client allows it, a named quote. Until then, the honest outcome is the offer: bring me the bottleneck, and the first real write-up on this page can be yours.
